What is the difference between your goose down and down alternative pillows?
Both pillows are designed to have a similar feel, the major difference however lies in the material of the filling.
Goose down pillows are plump and fluffy pillows and filled with the under-feathers (or down) of goose while down alternative pillows are filled with hollow fibre to mimic the fluffiness of down pillows.
Down alternative pillows are a perfect choice for those prone to allergies as some sleepers may react to down. They are also a less pricier option than goose down.
My goose down pillow has a smell, what do I do?
Off-gassing is completely natural for goose down pillows, however it will go away after a while. We suggest airing your pillows for a few hours on a sunny day to reduce the smell.
Can I wash my pillows?
Avoid washing your goose down pillows in the domestic washing machine; spot clean small stains with mild soap. If you have large stains that have to be washed, have the pillows dry cleaned but note that dry cleaning your goose down pillows may shorten their lifespan as the chemicals will remove the pillow’s natural oils and make it break down faster. To prevent any kind of stains on your pillows, use protectors.
Spot clean small stains on your down alternative pillows and dryclean for large stains. Down alternative pillows can be dry cleaned as much as required.
My pillows won’t rise/ fluff up. What do I do?
Our pillows come vacuum compressed in a plastic bag. Give it a few minutes to rise after taking it out of the bag. It may take about 2 weeks for the pillows to take their original shape so don’t be too worried if they seem a little flat minutes after taking it out of the bag.
If a month after unpacking your pillows, they still seem a little flat, do not hesitate to email us at info@lsahome.co or send a Whatsapp message using this link for prompt response.
Duvets
What are the dimensions of your duvets?
Twin - 60″ x 90″
Queen / Full - 90″ x 90″
King/ Cal-King - 104″ x 90″
Grand King - 114″ x 90″
What are your duvets made of?
Our Down Alternative Duvets are filled with between 200GSM - 430GSM hollow fibre and encased in 100% Cotton fabric. Our Down Alternative Duvets feature baffle box construction which is a method where the product shell is sewn in boxes or pockets and each pocket has a uniform amount of fill. Air gets trapped in each pocket and results in a fluffy duvet/topper.
This method also ensures that the filling is balanced and also prevents the duvet from clumping.
What is the difference between the lightweight and all-season duvet?
Our lightweight duvet is the lightest duvet option available – keeps you cool without the weight and is perfect for those who sleep hot.
The All-Season duvet is for all-year round comfort – thicker than the lightweight duvet, it is crafted for the Nigerian weather and can be used all day, everyday in a well air conditioned room.
Can I wash my duvets?
We recommend having your duvets dry cleaned instead of washing them at home. Domestic washing machines are not large enough for duvets and when duvets get wet, they tend to get very heavy which will make it difficult for you to handle. To enable your duvets last longer, we recommend using duvet covers so you wash your covers more and duvets less. Duvet covers also offer styling options as they come in different colors and designs. Read more on why you should use duvet covers.
My duvet is taking time to fluff up. What do I do?
Our duvets come compressed and vacuum packed in a bag. Once taken out of the bag, please allow a few minutes for the duvet to fluff up. Your duvet bag can also be used to store your duvet when they’re not in use. If after a few weeks, your duvet still feels a little flat, please email us at info@lsahome.coor chat with a customer experience officer via Whatsapp for quicker response.

Mattress
How is your mattress different from other Nigeran mattress brands?
The materials used in making our mattresses as well as the construction of the layers makes it very different from the other options available locally. Most of the other mattresses are just a single layer of poly foam or traditional coil springs.
What is the difference between your Sublime Mattress and your Signature Mattress?
The Sublime Mattress has a multi foam construction and is firmer while the Signature Mattress is a hybrid mattress with latex and pocket springs and is of a medium feel. They are both designed to give great support and comfort, therefore choices are made based on personal preferences.
Are your mattresses Orthopedic?
An orthopedic mattress is a mattress designed to support the joints, back and overall body. As opposed to general perceptions that an orthopedic mattress is a piece of hard foam, an orthopedic mattress must be able to provide targeted and tailored support. Our mattresses are therefore orthopedic in the right sense and usage of the word.
Which of your mattresses would you recommend for people with back pains and elderly people?
We usually recommend the Sublime as it is of a firmer feel and people with back aches or elderly people tend to prefer this.
Which of your mattresses would you recommend for kids?
A mattress with a gentler medium feel is usually recommended for kids, so our Signature Mattress is preferred by most parents for their kids. And they can also have some fun since the Signature mattress has got a bit of a bounce.
What is the warranty on the mattress?
Our thirty days comprehensive warranty covers any manufacturing or materials defect that causes The Mattress to tear, rip, split, crack or otherwise become unusable under conditions of normal use and proper handling.

Cal-King 110″ X 104″ , 84″ X 75″ + 13″
Grand King 140″ X 116″ , 84″ X 84″ + 13″
How are your Sheets packaged?
Our sheets are packed as sets or separates:
The sheet set contains:
1 flat sheet
1 fitted sheet
2 pillowcases
Some sheets also come with a duvet cover (like our Geo Bedding Set). On the other hand, Duvet Cover set contains:
1 duvet cover
2 pillowcases
How deep are your fitted sheets?
Our fitted sheets are 15” deep and can fit both a mattress and a topper. The deep fit ensures that your sheet doesn’t pull off while you sleep.
I want to mix and match my sheets. Can I buy individually instead of as a set?
Yes, some of our bedding collections like the Luxe Collection are offered as either a set or separates. Ordering as separates gives you the liberty to mix and match different colours and patterns to create a style unique to you.
Are your sheets 100% Cotton?
Yes, all the sheets we currently offer are made with 100% ethically grown cotton with the best practices and clean processes.
How do I care for my sheets?
Our 100% cotton sheets can be machine-washed or hand washed. Machine-wash cold with mild detergent on a delicate cycle. Tumble dry on low heat. Your cotton sheets can be worn on your mattress straight out of the dryer. However if you want a crisp look, iron on low heat. Our Luxe sateen sheets get a slight sheen to them when ironed.
Do your sheets wrinkle?
Our sheets are made with 100% cotton and are NOT treated with any anti-wrinkle chemicals therefore they are prone to wrinkles. However with subsequent uses and washes, your sheets will wrinkle less.
Line drying your sheets can prevent significant wrinkling. When using a dryer, bring them out before they are completely dry and lay flat to dry.
My pillowcases are missing from my bedding set. What do I do?
Our pillowcases are folded and placed inside the sheets. Please ensure that you have completely unravelled your sheet set. If you have and you still can’t find your pillowcases, please send an email to info@lsahome.co or message us on WhatsApp and we will send your missing pillowcases as soon as possible.
Fragrances
Where are your candles and diffusers from?
We retail fragrances from brands dedicated to making complex fragrance and botanical-based products that make a house a home. All the brands we carry have a diverse range of candles and diffusers featuring several subtle yet intoxicating scents and a range of body products for soft, healthy skin.
Are the candles safe?
All the candles we retail are made from soy wax so they are natural and non-toxic. They also burn longer, cleaner, and completely. Here are some safety precautions to guide you when using scented candles:
- Never leave a lit candle burning unattended.
- Keep burning candles away from children, pets, and anything that can catch fire.
- To avoid a hazard and to prevent the glass from breaking, always discontinue use and discard your candle when ½” wax remains.
- Always use a candle holder or plate specifically designed for candle use. It should be heat resistant, sturdy, and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax.
- Never burn a candle for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time.
- Never move or handle a burning candle. The wax and the container get hot when in use. Extinguish and allow to fully cool after or in between use.
- Place the candle and candle holder on a stable, flat surface.
- Trim wicks to ¼” or less before each use. Extinguish immediately, allow to cool, and trim wick further if black smoke appears.
- Do not burn candles where there is a draft, as it may cause sooting (and uneven burning).
- Burn candles in well-ventilated rooms.
- Never burn a candle when the wick is not in the center of the candle wax.
- Keep the melt pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.
How do I care for my scented candles?
For best results: trim wick to ¼ of an inch before each use.
Always try to burn your candles for about 2 hours at a time. This allows a nice, warm wax pool to develop that fully releases the fragrance. It sounds counter-intuitive, but it also acts to lengthen the life of the candle; repeated lighting and then extinguishing before a large melt pool develops can cause the wick to “tunnel” down into the wax, starving the wick of oxygen and causing it to self-extinguish or underperform.
If you’re burning a nice candle, you’re going to see a mushroom-like ball form from time to time on the top of the wick.
When that happens, don’t become alarmed – just trim it off as part of the normal trimming process (or carefully pinch it off using a tissue). That mushroom-like shape is made up of the remnants of the complex blends of fragrance oils and/or essential oils that are being gently drawn up through the wick to scent the room.
The more concentrated the oils are that are used to make the candle, the more this occurs. So it’s a good thing, not a bad thing. And then, some fragrance oils – like natural Patchouli, Sandalwood or Oud – that tend to be a little thicker and heavier than, say a citrus essential oil, tend to leave a little more of those carbon deposits behind than the others.
Always light your candles a full two hours before your guests arrive. The goal of home fragrance is to create an unmistakable ambiance that subtly, if not subconsciously envelops and welcomes your guests the moment they enter your home.
What are reed diffusers?
Diffusers are the flameless alternative for constant fragrance. The diffusers we offer come with natural rattan reeds which slowly soak up the fragrance oil and then dispel it into the air.
What are the best practices for reed diffusers?
If you are the type that likes more fragrance in the room, discreetly place more than one diffuser in the room, or CAREFULLY remove and reverse the direction of the reeds. However, be careful – if you drip or fling that oil onto a finished surface, it could cause damage; best to do that (carefully) over a sink or some other place away from the table or piano
Use a fragrance diffuser on a side table or in a book shelf to give height near photo frames, books and other items. Like a flower vase, the varying heights can add interest to the space.
Unlike a candle, look for areas where subtle drafts can carry the fragrance and waft it across the room. A ceiling fan or an open window often provide the perfect opportunities to propel the fragrance to the far corners of the room.
Use fragrance diffusers when it just isn’t practical to have an open flame.
What kind of fragrance is best for open rooms?
Citrus and floral fragrances are good for open, airy and large rooms, and typically take less reeds to create the desired effect; so don’t be afraid to remove a reed or two if you find that to be the case. Wood notes and resins on the other hand are amazing, but often require more than one candle to be burning at a time or more reeds in the diffusers in order to create the ambiance that you are looking for.
